Kid & Trail Horses - Page 3

"Pistol"
Kid/Adult Trail Horse

DOB: 03-2004
Color: Chestnut
Sex: Mare
Height: 13.3 hands
Weight: 850 lbs.

Pistol is a super gentle, quiet, easy mover any lady or intermediate rider would do great on. She has the size and is very attractive. She loads, clips, hauls, stands for the farrier and you can catch her anywhere. You don't find many that can short lope and travel like this little mare can. She is very very pretty. As you can see from the pictures, we ride her with a halter and bareback. She is really broke and has a great handle on her. She goes on our lake trail rides that are often times very lengthy and last several hours and she never misses a beat. She would also make a great breakaway or goat horse.

Blues Gold Dunny

DOB: 10-03-2005
Color: Buckskin
Sex: Gelding
Height: 14 hands
Registered: AQHA #4780765

"Dunny" is a beautiful buckskin gelding out of a gray mare, Kings Gold Bo (a super nice Two Eyed Jack mare), and by Poco Mr Blue (a double bred grullo Poco Bueno stallion). His conformation, bone, color, and super sweet "puppy dog" disposition makes him one of favorites. He is currently being ridden by a 9 year old girl and is quickly learning all of the playday event patterns. He ranked 2nd overall in the last playday he competed in at the Texoma Cowboy Church Buckly Playday Series. He has never offered to buck and is ridden bareback by our granddaughter with only a halter. He has been ridden on numerous church trail rides in the mountains and was an angel the whole trip. Dunny would also be a good calf roping or heel horse prospect. He is one of a kind! This horse belongs to our daughter, Amy Graves. Please call her at 580-920-0554 or email fosterchild@hughes.net.

"Popeye" (our granddaughter, Tori's, best friend) is a grandson of Colonel Freckles. He runs completely automatic patterns and will babysit the little ones. He is everything and more and our granddaughter loves him. She has already won a saddle, numerous buckles, money, and tons of other prizes on this horse. We don't believe in the cloning of any of God's animals, but this one - we'd love to have a few more like him! He is special. Thank you to the Chapman family from Oklahoma for sending us this horse.

Congratulations Reno family -
New Mexico
Email on 12/15/08 from new owners one week after purchasing Popeye:
"Hi Amy,
Just a quick note to let you know that Popeye is doing great!!! On Saturday he went a little fast for her, and she has not had much time with him, so I put a snaffle bit in his mouth with a little shank and a loose tie down. That slowed him down to a perfect speed and I am sure after a week or so more I will take it all off. On Sunday she won 2nd in the flags, 2nd in the barrels, 1st in the poles, and 5th in th goats. Her goat run was slow because for some reason she hung on his side for a while and he just stood there. Attached are some pictures. Please share with your daughter. Thanks so much.
Have a great day!
Brady

Way to go Weslynn (only 4 years old!)

"Blackberry"
Playday Horse, Kid Horse, Kid's Ranch & Trail Horse

DOB: 02-1999
Color: Black
Sex: Gelding
Height: 13 hands
Weight: 850 lbs
Registered: no

Blackberry is an attractive, gentle, quiet and easy to get along with pony. He reins and stops well. He crosses the country and travels along roads just fine. My 4 year old grandson loves him. He is not spooky, very respectful and likes people. He saddles, loads, clips, etc. the very best. Our neighborhood girls (pictured here) come home from school and ride him nearly every day. He is their "pick" and ride him everywhere. . They say he is training to be a "famous trick horse". He has been ridden by our grandsons on long trailrides and has never acted up or offered to anything wrong. He can be caught in an open pasture full of other horses by a child without feed. He comes to you when you call him. Blackberry will make some child a great friend and pony. No known vices.

Sex: Gelding
Height: 15 hands
Registered: no

"Preacher" is a 14 year old palomino gelding. He does barrels and playday events. He has been started on heading. He is sound and very gentle. Preacher has been "lady" ridden with much success -won buckles and trophies and always high in the year end standings. He also loves children. Our 5 year old granddaughter rides the barrels on him. He walks, trots, lopes and stops easily. He is one the few horses that we get that appears that most anyone can ride and have fun on. You ask him to go, he goes, stops easily, and is not exciteable. He has had much trail riding and general all around pleasure riding. He pickets, ties, saddles, bathes, clips, etc. We like Preacher. We hope you will.
